For 60 years, AchieveKids has offered a place where acceptance is the key to being welcomed into the community. We acknowledge it is not always easy, but we know that today’s difficulties are tomorrow’s opportunities for success. This philosophy allows students to slowly build their self-esteem and learn to take chances. Trying leads to success and success leads to hope for a future of inclusion. AchieveKids serves Bay Area children, aged 5 to 22, with emotional and/or developmental disabilities including mental retardation, autistic spectrum disorder, mood, disruptive behavior, anxiety, and psychotic disorders. Our approach is to address the child, not the diagnosis.
