The Alzheimer’s Disease Association of Kern County, Inc. (ADAKC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals affected by Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other neurological disorders. For over 40 years, ADAKC has provided a range of services, including adult day programs, educational resources, and support groups for caregivers.
Founded in 1982, ADAKC is the only local nonprofit in Kern County offering a comprehensive Adult Day Program specifically for those on their Alzheimer’s and dementia journey. The program features specialized care, brain-stimulating activities, and essential resources to support both individuals and their caregivers, fostering socialization and respite.
