The Family Support Network of Central Carolina believes that the greatest asset a child can have is a strong family. Our mission is to ‘provide support, education and caring connections to those who have a child with special needs or who have experienced a NICU stay’. When a child is born prematurely or diagnosed with a disability, a family’s world can be turned upside-down. Our programs are all FREE for families, confidential, and offer the encouragement families need to not only survive, but thrive. Programming includes:
-Parent-to-parent support from others who have ‘been there’
-On the floor NICU family support, with all of our support staff being former NICU parents themselves!
-A Community Referral Specialist who can connect with families and provide support, information on/referrals to local agencies and resources
-Early Intervention Services
-Social opportunities for families
Parent Support Groups (all parent-led):
Moms Group
Dads Group
After the NICU Group
Rare Disease Moms Group
Black Parents Group
Sibshops
…and more! The Family Support Network of Central Carolina serves North Carolina families in Guilford, Alamance, Caswell, Randolph, and Rockingham Counties. For more information, or to connect, please visit our website at www.fsncc.org.
