Iberian Horse Rescue, a 501 (c) (3) charity, started as a social media net-working page to save horses of Iberian type that were found in auctions and kill pens, headed for slaughter. In 2014, IHR branched out and a hand’s-on rescue was formed.
IHR’s rescue efforts are supported 100% by public donations. Only with the help of our donors, sponsors and volunteers is IHR able to rescue, rehabilitate, re-train, revalue and re-home these generous horses.
Our work gives the horses we save the chance to have a dignified life worthy of their heritage as treasured war horses!
