Lummi Island Heritage Trust is a private, non-profit land trust dedicated to preserving land on Lummi Island. The Heritage Trust has protected 1095 acres of our island’s precious natural areas. This includes four nature preserves, as well as private lands protected by conservation easements. Together these protected areas include open fields with fertile agricultural soils, wetlands that hold precious groundwater, forests, and vital habitat for wildlife, birds and native plants. And they provide spaces in which all of us can breathe fresh air, relax, and recharge in nature.
