Sunnyvale Community Services prevents homelessness and hunger in Silicon Valley’s second-largest city by providing financial aid, food, and other assistance.
We serve low-income families, seniors, and others facing temporary crises. This early intervention helps clients stabilize their lives to avoid the spiraling effects of chronic homelessness.
Our services include:
- Emergency financial assistance to help with rent and rental deposits, utilities, car repairs, medical bills, and other urgent needs
- Case management for those needing longer-term help to achieve self-sufficiency
- Food programs, including home-delivered food for homebound seniors and disabled persons, extra food for families during the summer when schools are closed, and ready-to-eat food for homeless clients
- Back-to-school kits to equip kids for the new school year, including backpacks, school supplies, and shoe gift cards
- Our Holiday Center, helping low-income families and seniors celebrate the holidays with gifts for children, household gifts, and extra food
