The United Way Story
United Way was established in 1964 to carry out one fund drive to fund locally necessary social services. One gift using payroll deduction gives all year long to help meet community needs.
Giving to United Way helps support 33 individual programs provided by community partners. There are four focus areas of program funding.

The Progress Center Neuromuscular Clinic, a United Way agency, is a center for developmentally delayed children and infants. We serve young children with some form of developmental delay or disability from birth to three years of age. We are here to assist you with education, information, support and therapy services.
